Meet your Occupational Therapist

Lindsey Novakovic (she/her/hers) is a licensed Occupational Therapist, Certified Sexuality OT, and doctoral graduate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons’ Masters-Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program. She served on the Occupational Therapy Department Student Advisory Board for two years and tutored first-year OT students for one year during her graduate studies at Columbia.

As a disabled occupational therapist, Lindsey immerses herself in the field of occupational therapy in and outside of the clinic, through her advocacy for disability rights and occupational justice, expression of the lived experience, continuing education in intimacy, sex, pelvic floor, and their intersection with physical disability. Lindsey’s doctoral work focused on the development and validation of a self-report measure that provides occupational therapists with the necessary information to better support their clients in intimacy and sex-related occupations.

Testimonials

  • Lindsey was informative, qualified, and extremely easy to work with for my c-section recovery. She was hands on but also gentle and patient with me. She boosted my confidence regarding my my core strength and I feel stronger after just 6 sessions. Thank you, Lindsey!

  • Lindsey was a sheer delight. She was professional, extremely competent, and so very personable. I had broken both bones in the wrist of my dominant hand and thanks to Lindsey’s excellent directions and the program she worked out for me I have regained almost total use of that wrist. While it was a most unfortunate accident that initiated our relationship, Lindsey‘s competence and personality made it a pleasant experience. I will miss our therapy sessions.
